Matcha Powder Product Description
Our Ceremonial Grade Matcha Powder is family-farmed in Nishio, Japan, made with young green tea leaves that are carefully ground and blended into a silky smooth powder. Rich in caffeine for energy and L-theanine for focus, our matcha will help you stay energized without the jitters or the crash. Each 1.05 oz (30 servings) tin is packed with exceptional nutritional value.
All of our matcha comes from the first harvest of the season, using younger shade-grown leaves from the very top of the plant. These leaves are specifically chosen for their high nutritional value and smooth flavor profile. In fact, our Matcha Powder contains 10 times the antioxidants normally found in green tea, helping to boost your immune system and prepare you to take on any challenge.
Authenticity and Quality Assurance
Our matcha is blended and crafted by our co-founder Max Fortgang, and is certified ceremonial grade by our tea master in Nishio, Japan. This tea master is one of only 15 in the world with a prestigious 10th level "tea master" or "chashi" certification, ensuring the smoothest ceremonial grade matcha in the world.
We work closely with family-owned farms that use only the best practices and machinery specifically built for the production of matcha, all under the supervision of our expert tea master. As a result, our matcha powder is non-GMO, gluten-free, vegan, and sugar-free, delivering the highest quality ingredient.
Our Matcha Origin Story
In 2014, brothers Max and Graham Fortgang developed their own blend of ceremonial grade matcha and opened America's first matcha cafe, MatchaBar, in Brooklyn. They've been on a mission to spread the word about the benefits of matcha across the country ever since, giving people the energy and focus to be their best selves, one matcha at a time.
Matcha Powder Usage Guide
Each 1 tsp serving of our Ceremonial Grade Matcha Powder contains approximately 80 mg of caffeine. For those who are caffeine-sensitive, we recommend starting with 1/2 tsp to gauge your tolerance.
All of our matcha products have a clearly marked expiration date. While the powder may still be safe to consume after this date, you may notice changes in color and potency. To ensure optimal freshness, we recommend storing your matcha in an airtight container, away from direct light exposure. Once opened, keep it refrigerated with the lid closed.
